How do I create share links for files/folders? |
| |
Login to your IBackup account and select the files/folders that you want to share with others, using the check boxes. Click the 'Share’ icon and set the share options.
You can create ‘SSL Security Enabled’ links, password protect your files/folders to ensure that they are viewed only by the intended recipients, write-enable your files/folders so that others can modify them and upload them back to your online backup account etc.

What are the limitations of the share links? |
| |
The share links for files/folders created using Web-Manager will expire after the number of downloads / days set by the IBackup account holder.
If you need to share some data (on a permanent basis) without any limitations, we recommend that you try Sub-Accounts. |

How do I (recipient) download and save the shared files/folders? |
| |
Click the link of the shared file/folder and 'Open' or 'Save' it to your computer. If you have an IBackup account, you can directly save the file to your IBackup account using the ‘Save’ option. |

What is meant by sideloading of files? |
| |
If you (recipient) have an IBackup account, then select the file that has been shared and click the ‘Save’ option. Provide your IBackup account details when prompted to save it directly to your online account. These files will display under the 'Sideload' folder. |

When I click the share link, it says that it is invalid. Why? |
| |
The shared file/folder may have been moved to a different folder or deleted from the user’s IBackup account. |

How do unshare files/folders that I have shared with my associates? |
| |
To prevent your associates from accessing your shared files/folders, login to your IBackup account via the web. Select the files/folders that you want to unshare and click Share Options > Unshare Folder/File
Alternately, you can go to Share Options > View Share Links and delete the files and folders that you no longer wish to share. |

The Internet Service Provider's spam filter is removing IBackup share emails. What is the work-around? |
| |
IBackup has the provision to share data using the default built-in client or your own email client (like Outlook/Outlook Express/other email client). The option to 'Send using your email program' on the share page appears once you choose the necessary options to create the share. |

What is Private Share? |
| |
The 'Private Share' option allows an IBackup user to instantly share folders with other IBackup account holders. To use this feature, login to your IBackup account, select the folder(s) that you want to share and click 'Private Share' under the 'Share Options'. |

Provide your associates' IBackup Username and click the 'Share' button. |

To view the folders that you have privately shared with your associate, click 'Private Share – Details' under 'Share Options'. |

To disable the private share privilege to a folder, select and click 'Delete'. |

My associates have privately shared data with me. How do I access it? |
| |
Login to your IBackup account. Click the ‘IBackup – Private Share’ folder. Folders privately shared by all your associates are displayed.

You can view and edit the privately shared data. The modifications would be available to the person who has privately shared the folder. |
